OFTEC 153A:	Beginning Medical Transcription 3 units Recommended for Success: OFTEC 50 Laboratory: 6 hours (Self-paced) Transcription of authentic physician-dictated reports organized by body systems of medical specialties. Development of accuracy, speed, and medical knowledge for transcription of letters, chart notes, history and physicals, consultations, ER reports, operative reports, discharge summaries, and lab reports. May be repeated two times.
